God will us every way He wants to get the Gospel out there... even using the best band in the world like U2. This is our Fathers world.

Looks more like a concert than worship focused on Jesus.

Other than U2's musical talent and efforts to help people, this is the reason why I love and support U2. A rock band of such magnitude can be in front of millions of people and not be afraid or ashamed to proclaim the name or the word of God. For me, this is truely Amazing!!! I am reminded through U2's example to be gracious for the blessings and gifts that I have been given in my life!

very naive my friend, who is trying to kill the west? yes we should try to live in peace but not a false peace based on wishful thinking, not accurate thinking.

If you regard the 3 songs relating to the "coexist" link, then its easier to understand. Bullet the blue sky, sundy bloody sunday and love and peace all relate to war. "Jesus, Jew, Muhammed: It's true: All sons of Abraham" he says, NOT "J.J.M. ALL true...".

Its respecting other faiths, not believing them, and not killing those who believe in them.

We should not be fighting and killing each other if we are brothers is basically the message I think he's trying to convey.

He began his ministry that way because as the Bible says, first to the Jew then the Gentile, He went first to the Jews and spoke to them in the language they understood. remember the dogs getting crumbs from the table parable. that's what gentiles were considered even when he first started ministering.

for God so loved the world he sent his Son the Messiah, not muhammed, not Buddha, etc. etc. He came to turn people away from a false knowledge of God. what's there to understand, what value is there in following a religion that is false? tell me what value is there in living a psuedo moral life and ending up in a lake of fire? what service are you doing by sending a message that hellbound people can find value in their deceptions?wake up. stop thinking positively and start thinking accurately

I think I already answered that, but I'll try again. Acknowledging that people of other faiths have value is not the same as universalism. God demonstrated his love toward us in that while were yet sinners, Christ died for us, ya know. For God so lived the world, right? Why did Jesus touch the leper?

I'll answer my own question:

Because we're in an era of Grace when all may enter in. The church era. The OT laws are suspended. It is an era of Jubiliee. And while he may not have chosen the best passage to make his point, reaching out to the poor-- regardless of their response to the Gospel message of salvation -- is still something Jesus did and which we should emulate. Jesus didn't require belief in his divinity before he served them or healed them.

So then why did Jesus begin his ministry by quoting that verse, Mr. Dispensantionalist.

first of all the year of jubilee was given to the Jews not the church, the lending laws are for Jews to other Jews, great sentiment here but a classic example of textproofing and bad bible teaching.

then tell me why he did a concert tour wearing the crescent moon, star of David and the cross? what message is that if not universalim?

Other people are not the enemy, so stop treating them that way. I think that's Bono's message. Build bridges and show them the love of Christ. In no way has Bono ever preached that there are many ways to heaven etc. He always gives glory to Jesus Christ. Watch the Boston 2001 DVD, from which this video came. At the end he gives glory to Jesus by name.

This must be THE most uplifting, joyful, spirit inspired song ever written in the history of Rock n Roll.
