Tribute To Claudette Colbert

While Garbo, Crawford, Davis, Stanwyck are all revered If I had to vote on the most versatile, creative and long lasting of the stars of her era I might vote for this actress, a great star and a woman who held herself beyong reproach.

Colbert worked with many of the legends of Hollywood ending her movie career with the fine Troy Donahue film "Parrish" then went on to a career in theatre. I saw her in person in "Arent We All" when she was in her late 80's and was ever the Great Star. RIP

Ohhhh, well i made the video last september. I have the movie "So Proudly We Hail" now and some others of claudette's too. Its so cool how their restoring all the classic films, and releasing them out on DVD. Have you seen "Without Reservations." It was a classic.

dont worry jk...i have it on dvd..and vhs...i have an original poster...and lots of 8x10 and 5 original lobby cards...and icing on cake a nurse uniform worn by paulette goddard in movie. when i was saying missed the movie...i was saying the person forgot to show it on clip. ty pal

it was just released on DVD. Your best bet is finding it in Borders Books and Music.

What an actress and what a sincerity in all of her performances. No more actresses like her. She gave such a human quality to her roles that she mesmerized you. I loved her & never get tired to watch her films over & over. God Bless You Miss Colbert. I miss and love you.

Lovely tribute to a one of a kind star. I loved the music, and the last scene from 'Imitation of life', is superb. A few more clips from her great films like 'It happened one night' for which she won an Oscar, 'Cleopatra' and 'Midnight'would have been great, but very fine work never the less.
