How to Retrieve Your Windows XP and All Microsoft Product Key?

My anti-virus says Hacking tool has been detected and deleted. = it's a virus name sandump.

lol, interesting. The ones that everyone has access to are good to go, the protected ones that are slightly harder to get a hold of, are the ones to target. What an odd way for avast to go about that.

the keyfinders that did not set off my anti-virus were the open-sourced ones, the closed source ones all set off avast

then thats an issue with avast, honestly i would be warry about my AV if a key finder i was using DIDN'T show up as a warning. That means that if spyware gets on my PC and uses that kind of keyfinder, then my AV/AS will do nothing to try and stop it.

my avast only found certain keyfinders as a trojan, other keyfinders appeared to be fine

A virus alarm went off in the actual video. It was a warning from avast

try magic jellybean keyfinder...there's no viruses...my mcafee security reports it as a potential unwanted program cuz it allows u to change the key etc...

yeah ur virus protect should get rid of it but don't press heal or fix yet use the program first then heal or fix it

No, it is not illegal to find your XP key, on most of pre-built computers (like what you would buy at walmart or bestbuy) its on a sticker on the side of the computer, and if you buy an XP disk it says the key in there so you can install it. Changing you key is also legal (some of these programs let you do that) there is actually a page on Microsoft's site to tell you how to do it.

Key finders will always show up as a virus/ trogen horse, because there are some viruses that are made to find your key and email it off to some remote server so people can use your key to install/ make more keys off of it. So, if your downloading a key finder your AV will see that there is a key finder in the program (duh) and tell you such. Now, weather or not RockXp is a virus, I don't know, I prefer jellybean.
