Onboard 2008 Kawasaki ZX-10R

sure did, look at the statistical data between the two bikes, the zx10-r has more power was fastest to top end and also has the fastest standing mile. Nothing against the r1 its simply outdated compared to the new zx10r. Most sources will say the yamaha is easier to ride smoother and has better brakes, but if your talking straight line speed and radical power you are wrong. The biggest complaint with the r1 compared to the newest bikes is that it lacks the torque and hp to keep up.

actually multiple sources gave the best sportbike of "the big 4" to honda in 2008, best track bike as well as best street bike, you can do the research if you'd like but if your making the comment based simply on personal preference then i have no argument, all are entitled to their opinion

BTW i gust have to say that yamaha S**ks . I ride Honda but if i had to ride something else yamaha would be last on my list.

Mindsmirror...If you really don't care about the difference between a few seconds then go ride a cruiser. They dont care either!!! You will fit right in

I am going to have to agree with roomulus. By the numbers the zx10 did 0-180mph in 17.21s where as the r1 did it 21.07. almost 4 seconds is a very significant difference. it was actually a second faster than a busa and almost 3 seconds faster than a zx-14. It's a fact that zx10 will destroy any stock bike in a straight line.

i hope that you are not serious. you can have your opinion on which bike you like the best, thats fine, but there is no way any stock yamaha can would come close to the new zx10r. I ride cbr and am loyal to it, but i know that if a zx10r rolled up on me i just wouldn't have a chance. The proof is in the numbers, kawasaki owns in straightline speed.

Your right, cycle world magazine tested all the '08s. The honda had the fastest track time while the kawasaki had the highest top end, only the gsxr1000 rivaled the top end of the zx10r. Yamaha was in the back of the pack in most tests. No one had anything good to say about the "outdated" r1 except that it had decent brakes. The new zx10 destroyed everything in pure acceleration trials. Sick fast.
