This tutorial is aimed at getting people used to more of the essential and basic tools that the FREE graphic software Paint.Net has to offer.

Paint.Net can be downloaded FOR FREE at http://www.getpaint.net/

This video covers:
-opening an image file
-opening multiple image files
-selecting an image file from your currently opened files
-closing image files
-saving image files
-quality settings when saving image files

This video was made with CamStudio, and the drawing was done with a Graphire 4 graphics tablet, made by Wacom.

More tutorials will be added as time passes, so find out when they do by subscribing to my channel.

NOTE: Please bear with me -- I'm having difficulty getting the audio and video to synchronize, so they are still a bit off -- I'll be trying to better tweak the settings for future videos.

Pretty much any way you look at it, it's not something that'd be done in a few simple steps.

  • I do hope to look ...

I do hope to look at something like this, but to do it really well, I'd say you're looking at something more advanced than "basics", since you have to consider matching the new object with the rest of the picture -- depending on the pics used, it can be pretty difficult. Still, I'll give it a shot eventually, and will certainly do a less advanced version to at least set people on the right path.

Oz , would love to see you do a tutorial on how to photochop a picture. Lets say someone is holding a can of soda . Remove the can and place something else in his hand. Then change the color of the object . Leaving everything else in tact.
Thanks for the great help . Kudos to you

Ah! Good one. Thanks for the suggestion -- although I've not really started that video series yet, I WILL, in the next few months, be making some videos that are geared more to general basics of drawing that can be applied to PaintDotNet and other tools, and this will be something that I'll be sure to cover now.

Thanks again for the great suggestion. :)
