The high pitched sound you hear in the verse riff is called an 'Artificial Harmonic'.. Made by stopping the string behind the pick using your thumb to create a ring and thus, Artificial Harmonic. Pick the string and stop it using your thumb right behind the pick and there ya go. XD

Killswitch is the best metal band of all time, Both singers are mind blowing, I like the guy better more cause hes 50/50..50 scream 50 sing. There riffs are so catchy, and rockin, drums just kick ass, and he doesnet over use the the double kick. And there bass player brings S**ks a blues/metal feel...I would have to say, Killswitch is blues metal...They rock scales so hard...Sees thes guys live...Peace!
