  • Well, I'm pretty ...

Well, I'm pretty sure I died in these dreams though admitting the whole subjectivity of this statement; I still remember clearly the fear before death and the awareness that I am dying; it was real - the numbness of thought at the very moment of dying and the feeling of resignation. It was painful and peaceful at the same time.
One of the "dying dreams" kept on going - I was able to see what's happening after my death, like a ghost. But in the other dreams I waked up at once.

  • The primary ...

The primary characters in dreams generally represent facets of the dreamer. Are you fighting yourself in "real life"? Maybe you're caught in a dilemma and you can't figure out a solution no matter how hard you try? That's usually what an ongoing battle means.

Also, issues that your subconscious is wanting to bring to your attention appear as repetitive dreams. Try the lucid dreaming technique and ask your opponent why he is fighting you :)
