    The triangular shape just before you put in the curls is called a "water bomb base" as it is also the first step to make a paper cube which can be filled with water and makes a great water bomb :D

    Yep, they must all curl in the same direction either all clockwise or all anti clockwise. The 1st one I made I did not really look at the diagram and for some reason assumed they curled in opposite direction in each unit ... you can still make a cuboctahedron but does not look that nice ;)

    Actually I think this one is more difficult than the icosidodecahedron. As result of the stress in curler units it takes a while for they all stay in their position...as you can see in the vid ;)
