The US bombing of Cambodia was indeed illegal, but so was the NVA and VC using it as a bolthole and part of the Ho Chi Minh supply trail.

Why do people never seem too concerned with the fact it was North Vietnam that had been violating Cambodia for years before the US even looked at that country?

Why is it only the US and western countries that can do wrong?

It really is...isn't it? This song brings back a lot of memories. Mostly good, but some not so as well. I never got to join the service....(backs all messed up and so are my feet). I didn't want to go to war so much, just wanted to show my support, ya know? So now I take care of people that can't take of themselves so well. Anywho, my point is we should be thankful for what we have. Not what we don't. And every time I hear this song I'm kinda reminded of that. God Bless.

Yeah we do sacrifice for other countries. But I don't support it. Well, in 1917 we were in WW1. First off, what did you do on your own?

False. I'm sorry, but you're not. I'm an Australian. You come here and try saying that to us, and we remember no help in the inital stages of many wars. We remember a war that began in 1939 not 1942; 1914 not 1917. We remember doing a hell of a lot on our own with no help from you or anyone else. I really dare you to come to my country and say that in public.

Yeah, maybe we do invade other countries. Maybe my government and rich corprate bastards do make alot of money off of unpopular wars. I agree we shouldn't go to war unless its necesarry and I agree that the Republicans (U.S. party) worry more about helping other countries than American citizens. But don't forget this we're the first to help anyone out and sacrifice for other countries.

Yeah, it was the domino theory. When LBJ got into office he escalted the war. Then it got worse from there on when Richard Nixon ordered illegal bombings of Cambodia.

The intent was to stop the spread of communism, there were more than just Americans there.....Australians, New Zealanders, Thais, and a few other I can't think of at the moment, but a sad fact from war comes lots of money and money does bad things to people with weak minds.
