Star Trek Online Preview (MMO/MMORPG)

STO is dead pure and simple. Let's just hope someone either creates an ST MMO out of Nanofx Ge or Infinity. That or Star Wreck gets its act together.

well it relly will come if you go in to wikipedia and read there. and it's fully true. they halted and some new company took over the prodiction. so it will come out.

well... if they can warp to any place in the galaxy the game would have to patch alot and the game has to be big, really big to do so, and i think gonna make star bases around the planet and some on the planets, it's gonna be cool i hope so

Would be best if you dont serve in Starfleet but instead play in the universe as a lone gun with Starfleet vessels being the NPC 'guards' of the game. Players should be able to ride in and walk around starships and DS9 so on, but only control ships of their own with capital ships as optional escorts on major spacelanes. Noone could play a realistic Starfleet job who has to follow a duty roster like 'monitor the dilithium matrix for 3 hours'. Everyone wants to roam,fight,explore, and have fun!

Just go away moron. Star Trek is not dead. Cryptic Studios is doing this game now even I really prefer BioWare (that made Mass Effect & KOTOR I & II) to do it more. Cryptic Studios (that made City of Heroes/Villains) and even Arena Net (that made Guild Wars, the best current MMO in my opinion) is no way like Blizzard Entertainment.

I will be giving this a try for sure.

Geez guy's, really looking forward to this game. Finally something what l always wanted: Freely warp around this HUGE galaxy that keeps updating him self! But my question: Can you warp when ever, and to what ever you want? Silly question l Know. But l SO wanna do that. -.-

As a devoted trekkie I can say only one thing after watching this video... Star Trek as it was supposed to be is dead... This piece of crap that was shown on this video is a desperate attempt from Blizzard-like companies to pluck some more money from people that used to consume Star Trek as drugs... Some other time in some other galaxy...

This MMO was canceled by Perpetual after they ran into some legal issues. The IP was taken up by Cryptic, who created City of Heroes.
