The guy who's face the radio blew up in was Clancy Brown, who would later gain fame as Kurgan in Highlander, Brother Justin in Carnivale, and the voice of Mr. Krabs in Spongebob.

This may sound weird...but the first time I ever saw a "ghost", I woke up in the middle of the night, this song was running thru my head for some reason. I sat up, and there was a woman floating above me in a baby blue dress. I FREAKED!!! I yelled and aksed "who are you!!!, a couple of times. She just floated away and disappeared. Never saw her again. Oh, and no... I'm not nutso.

I think the Little River Band that tours the USA is headed by Steven Housden who was in one of the original LRB's 80's lineups. Ghraham Goble, Beeb Birtles and Glenn Shorrock tour here in oz as 'the original memebers of LRB' thanks to the decision of some very retarded US judge :(

This is a song rarely re-played on retro-radio; but since it came out when I was 9 1/2 years old; I have been facinated with it. It has an erie-ness not expressed in other Little RIver hits; what a ROCKIN TRACK this was in 81!

Wasn't his character's name in that movie, Horowitz? When this song was playing in the movie, didn't he make the radio explode in that guys face? I think the same actor who had the radio explode in his face played the prison guard in Shawshank Redemption. Both are awesome movies!!

The Little River Band will be in Phoenix, AZ, on April 26th, 2008, with tickets starting at $145 per seat. WOW!! That's some serious cash. Anybody know who will be singing and what original members will be playing?? I hope I don't buy tickets... and then I go to the show hoping to see these guys and instead some yo g gangsta rap group with the same name is playing. LOL

I've been a little curious about "Whispering Jack." To my understanding, it was a hit everywhere in the English-speaking world except here in the U.S. That might have been because of the drop in L.R.B.'s popularity after Farnham joined.

If any movie producer is here, "listen" up: Give "'Jack" another chance and put some of its songs in a soundtrack if they're a fit. Sometimes revivals happen that way.

I Heard this in Bad Boys with Sean Penn.good movie,I thought at first that Michael Imperioli aka Christopher,Tony's troubled Nephew on the Sopranos was Penn's cellmate,but it was a young actor named Eric Gurdy,who played Al Pacino's son in Author,Author a 1982 comedy.last time I heard he was working as a Venture Capiltalist in Los Angeles.I hope that he is happy.

God!...How I miss the late 70's and early 80's music...and how I miss this band!!! I saw them "live" twice...both times in New Haven, CT, USA...at a Summer Festival at the Yale Bowl in 1980 with Heart and the Eagles...and at a bar called Toad's Place...Awesome!!!...LRB Rocks!!!!!!
