  • i totally agree ...

i totally agree with u ReikaiD. In order for the flying guillotine to work, the victim has to be caught off guard and in perfect position for the flying guillotine to work, if it work. If this fictional weapon made it to this documentary, i have to say the chinese legendary Lion Roar, Flying Toad are more effective weapon. Do u know of the Buddism Palm, it's the ultimate kung fu weapon. :P:P:P:P (from kung fu hustle)

  • There was a yogi ...

There was a yogi that came to Shaolin temple in China from southern India. He was a master of Kalaripayattu (aka Kalari)-- a part of Dhanu Shastra. A art of war in vedic culture. Kalari is the true orgin of Martial Arts.Chineese transformed the art for their understanding.
Kalari masters do not fist-fight.Their fight is more like lethal acupuncture aimed for vulnerable 'marma points'. Pure energy thing.

  • You know, I lost ...

You know, I lost all respect for this stupid documentary when the number one weapon was the flying guillotine. Seriously? F**king seriously? Everything in the countdown was okay, until they just had to give the top spot to a FICTIONAL weapon. F**king hell, it's just a concept weapon! Even if it was real, the flying guillotine would NEVER be a suitable combat weapon...

yeah i hear this in a lot of documentaries about KF. I think its because it has everything from joint locking, to grappling etc, and since other styles have those qualities they say since KF was first, it came from KF

  • hmmm im no expert ...

hmmm im no expert or anything but, first, ive never heard of kung fu being the "grandfather" of martial arts. wont argue, it might be called that, but ive never heard it. second, if it is called that, its probably because kung fu has been around for 5000+ years. longer than the other martial arts.
