I'll be 48 years in a couple of days. I don't remember ecactly when I had heard this song for the first time, but it had been my best compagnon since then. Througout so many music styles, it never lost it's amazing attraction. The lyrics are timeless.Of course 'born' in a time of mind changes, but did minds ever changed ? I can say that I still "Can't Find My Way Home"

  • Those times weren't ...

Those times weren't all about peace and love, they were actually about revolution and change. People were fighting for peace (stopping the Vietnam war), fighting for sexual liberation, women's rights, black's rights, the Cold War, and the environment (our first gas crisis).
Many people tried to use peaceful methods to protest, but those efforts were usually met with violence. Tripping happily on acid was only part of the scene in those turbulent times.

  • Maybe people looked ...

Maybe people looked to much into trying to find things that weren't there. The music was just sinply amazing. Look around today...you won't find it. But these videos and the people who share them are gifts...acceptance is a good place to start. The black guy wearing nazi gear is pretty funny I think...a slap in the face of hypocrisy and racism, to name a few. These are just my opinions and everyone has their own interpretations of what music means to them...wow, and I wasn't even stoned!
