  • however if if you ...

however if if you saw my version of Something Evil you would have heard extra (creepy incidental) cues from Escape from Planet of the Apes (Goldsmith) and The Last of Shiela (Billy Goldenberg)..a little bit of Karen Carpenter too.

  • We were watching " ...

We were watching "The Illustrated Man" and this very music appears in one of the scenes. We played that scene and then this trailer side-by-side, and it's identical. It was composed by none other than the incomparable Jerry Goldsmith! Today I managed to see a full version of "Something Evil" and this music doesn't appear in it anywhere - they just used this sinister music for the trailer. And it still creeps me out!

  • Another one that I ...

Another one that I didn't know belonged to Spielberg! I remember this quite clearly from it's original airing...the eyes glowing in the window, the jar of red glop that "breathes," the boy telling his mother to "be damned!" Great stuff!

Do you have a copy of the film. I've been looking for years to find one. I mean, it's a spielberg film for god's sake.
