    Talk about bad lighting. :)
    As to the the holes in the Double Star Flexicube units: it comes from folding slightly inaccurately. However, it's much harder to fold precisely with card stock due to the extra thickness. You can try using a folding bone, a ruler ruler or simply something with a straight edge to make each of the creases very sharp. That might help (helped me anyway).
