Papa Johns Pizza Dough Toss-The Basics

Actually coming from a Corporate stand point it is not supposed to be done period no matter what store

I can spot a few mistakes here, but I'm fairly lenient on dough as long as it has an even crust and no bubbles.

You make a quick pie, son.

And, for the record, myself and one of my employees can make a non-bubbling, undocked crust. Dough has the be the right temp, no overproofed crap. I head that PJs didn't even require docking up until several years ago.

Im a manager for Papa Johns. I dont edge lock my dough all the way around and i still make perfect 10 pizzas every time.

I'm sorry, but I never trust a pizza maker who uses screens.

Dude, we did that at both Boulder, CO and Lafayette, CO stores. We still could make a 10 point pie.

The dough wasn't patty placed good enough. "Note when you throw it in the air its is not circular." You didn't edgelock all the way around the pie either. This would have resulted in you being fired at my store. Haha. I would run game on you dude. haha

At our PJ's franchise it is not against policy to toss dough, it is encouraged. And he probably didnt dock the 2nd pie because 6 years ago we didnt have that tool, and maybe he was used to doing it without it. It is a very basic dough toss, and yes nothing fancy, but I bet it would still make a tasty pie.

well i do it as well as a few of my other co-workers. it keeps it interesting around the work place. not to mention i feel like it gives me a better judge of how rounded it is.

that is not the papa johns way to prep a edge lock , and we never twirl the dough in the air, that is not the papa johns rules

hes really not that good. its a very uneven pizza ive worked there for a year now and my managers can keep it spinning in the air for at least 10 seconds. i can do all kinds of tricks and yeah it just depends on what store you work for. mine pretty much encourages it. haha!

weak. he over stretched it plus you gotta throw it a certain way or it gets thin in the middle and you get droopy slices.
