my dad bought the collectors complete edition but it cant work on me and my sisters computer

how do you build an apartment?

Lets say, expansion packs are upgrades.
Usually expansion pack adds another neighborhood. Like say Sims 2 Nightlife adds downtown with bowling, clubs and restaurants your family can visit, "open for business" will add neighborhood with shops your family can visit. Also much more options are available. And you dont have to make another family for every pack.

MANNNN i love the sims 2! but i dont understand how the expansion packs work, im gonna buy some so i was wonderin if someone could explain this to me, k so if u install like 3 expansions at a time, do they all come together like u can play it all from the same family and neighborhood, or does each one have to have a seprate family and neighbor hood, cuz i already have 1 family but i duno if i would have to create whole new ones to play the 3 that im gonna get??????? someone explain to me please?
