I'd love to have the heat exchanger in soon, but other commitments are going to delay that until late Feb. I ran the burner for 90minutes straight last weekend, melting some beer bottles in a crucible inside and getting the brikmann's stock temp gauge just shy of the "hot" mark. I'm very impressed with the refractory's insulating properties.

Looks great! I have collected an old compressor and an old water tank for a project such as this but don't see myself putting it together anytime soon - I can't wait to see your progress...especially since you plan on heating your hot tub..I would like to use mine to either heat the garage or pool water
