My point was that ST characters will always find ways to get throught SW defences cause of technobabbel (it doesnt matter which character figures it out - and when it comes to science Data=Deus X machina). And it wasnt an real example, for Gods sake.

So Data knows how to defeat everything with his mind? Then how come the Enterprise always ran into a problem in every episode, and different characters solve the conflict? Also, the fleet is very large(watch RoTJ) and has a ship hovering around all but 1 planet.

You know guys, in all SWvsST duels I have sow, people presume that we are talking about "normal" peple with ST technology fighting against "normal" people with SW technology (and with force).

Can we for change talk about STvsSW like it is a film or something. What would hapen if Paramount and Lucas Arts teamed up to shot the best SF blockbuster of all time?

In SW settings: Picard teams up with Han Solo, Riker fells in love with princes Lea, Luke feels the force, and Empire is destroyed cause bad guys cant win.

The Death Star ITSELF is enough to eradicate the whole ST galaxy, as their ships can't even penetrate it's outer shield (YES, IT DOES HAVE SHIELDS, SEE RotJ AND ANH). That alone, it's clear that STAR WARS WINS.

Warp takes DECADES to cross the delta quadrant.

Transwarp takes YEARS to do the same.

Slipstream (halo covies) takes MONTHS to accomplish that feat.

Hyperdrive takes a couple of hours as seem in A.O.T.C.

Because people just assume they're the shield generators.

however they are "PORTRAYED" as sensor domes in the tech manuals.

Transwarp by itself has nothing on hyperdrive, however the twhubs are faster but very limited because you have to build them first, because they exist they left vulnerable to attack like in voyager.

Slipstream in halo is very slow when compared to hyperdrive but faster than warp or transwarp.

Odd how they always seem to be betrayed as Shield generators. Another Question are there any similarities between hyper drive and transwarp/slipstream drive? I know hyper drive is much faster yet much more inaccurate in terms of navagation compared to Warp drive but the comparison to Transwarp/Slipstream Drive I'm don't know much.
