Splash Six - Su-27 Vs F-15/F-16

Our "stealth" aircraft were immediately spotted by common Doppler radar and everyone knows it. Once spotted that way, low frequency radar will target it and ordinary anti-aircraft missile will knock them down. That's why EVERY modern U.S. craft was removed from the vicinity of Georgia where the Russians (Georgians?) shot down an F-22 in their first try. Face it, stealth is now crap. Won't work. On the other hand, jamming still works but no one knows what the Russians and Chinese have up their sleeves and everyone knows what the U.S. has. Remember, EVERY time the U.S. has gone up against a really capable enemy, we got our asses kicked at first, then recovered and took air superiority. Won't happen this time. We've lost the ability to produce high tech aircraft rapidly. Besides, a real war would be essentially over in a few weeks. Cruise missiles and super fast torpedoes and silent subs are the real weapons of the next war. And we are NOT in the running there at all. Chinese subs are the most silent, Russian and Chinese cruise missiles are the best and ONLY Russia has the super-fast unstoppable torpedoes. Pray we never actually go to war again!

Actually, it is very likely that with equally matched pilots one SU-27 could take down 6 F-15 or F-16. In Operation Red Flag, the Indian AF were flying the SU craft and wiped out the total NATO contingency. "...like clubbing baby seals..." was how one observer put it. The SU-27 remains superior to the F-15 and 16 in close combat in anyone's book. "...can't fight, can't turn, can't run..." was how the NATO aircraft were described.

Their are 2500 being made you fool. Countries that are in Joint partnership have paid for them !!, Get your facts correct.... Su-27 is crap its a 3.5 gen fighter.

No, the Russian AF operates over 400s Su-27 all variants. This 2500 F-35s is pure rubbish just as the 400+ F-22 announced years ago, it will just never happen, sorry to say.

FEAR THE SU-27 GUYS. THE RUSSIANS HAVE 12. Thats right. a ENTIRE FLEET of 12 SU-27's. More of a muesuem piece, although it reeks of vodka haha. Funny because you put such a "new and sophisticated russian" aircraft up aganst the oldest US Aircraft Fighters. The F15 is about 40 years old, and the F-16 is aging, . It cant defeat even a F18, those r being retired to make way for our 2500 F-35 Lightning II's. Try F**king with that.

Manuever ability wouldnt even matter...the Su's would be splashed way outside of visual range. AWACS + F15 = victory.
