  • This is a great ...

This is a great comic video. I learned more from this satirical interview about the root causes of the subprime crisis than I have from all the superficial news stories in the media. The media attributes the crisis simply to greed, while this interview explains what actually happened in detailed though humorous manner. Well-researched and funny!

  • Brilliant! Not all ...

Brilliant! Not all Americans get British irony, and thus miss out on gems like The Black Adder as one example. But many of us do, and this piece is simply brilliant.

The governments of three countries have just invested 11 billion euros in the bank I work to keep it afloat.

How the combination of greed and irrationality of a few can cause ruin for everyone.

Try to have a sense of humour when watching the two Johns. This is from a late night arts and satirical show in the UK. Its not aimed at PC septics with no sense of irony.

  • That was obnoxious ...

That was obnoxious that they used an unemployed black man in Alabama as an example of the worst mortgagee possible. It happens that the only family I know that got a subprime mortgage and lost the house later was white: two parents, two kids, one earner bringing less than $100,000 before taxes, magically able to get a mortgage on a house that cost more than $400,000.

  • trebbs seems to be ...

trebbs seems to be an extreme right wing close-minded ultraconservative who likes to blame it all on the Democrats who actually want to change the US and stop it from acting prepotent and arrogantly on the international level. Communism as defined by Marx almost always has negative impacts on a society, but so does extreme capitalism, including materialism, degradation of ethics, poverty, subjugation, hive mentality and self-imposed tyranny excercised by rich people. This interview is genius.

STRONGLY URGE YOUR SENTAORS AND REPRESENTATIVES TO VOTE NO ON THE BAILOUT AND TO SUPPORT H.R. 2755: Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act. The American people do not support a bailout, but in fact understand that the economic challenges we face require a massive overhaul of our financial system.

    NO BAILOUT!!
