(Nicks POV)

I couldnt move. This girl that I couldnt stop thinking about just told me she liked me? Like really liked me? Oh my god, this must be heaven. Miracles like this just dont happen on earth.
Suddenly, I realized that she was waiting for any kind of response from me. I guess I had been staring. But I was in shock, and there really wasnt anything left for me to do. While I tried to find my vocal cords to say something, Mel's face fell ever so slightly, and her eyes became sad.
"Um, Im sorry. You probably have a girlfriend. Uh, forget I said anything," she said, and got up to leave the couch we were sitting on.
"Wait!" I exclaimed, instinctively grabbing out to reach for her hand. Mel could not just walk away from me. I pulled her back onto the couch. She sat down, perplexed at my behavior.
"I dont have a girlfriend. And, I looked down at the fabric, suddenly very nervous. I like you too. A lot."
I chanced a look at her. She was glowing. A full blown smile spread upon her face. "Whew. I was afraid you were gong to think I was a freak," she said, relief in her voice.
I smiled at the absurdity of that. "I would never think you were weird."
Mels smile shrank just a fraction. "So... Where does that leave us?"
I pondered all the glorious possibilities available to me now. "Well, I think -"
The bus jerked to a stop, and Big Rob climbed on board. "Boys? Were at the venue, and a little behind schedule. We need to hurry you guys to sound check."
Damn it. Of course, the second Im about to do something romantic and charming for Mel, I have to go to a stupid sound check. I turned to look at Mel, apologies in my eyes.
She smiled at me. "Dont worry. Rosie and I will go and watch."
Right then, I decided this was going to be the best sound check ever.

Joe, Kevin, and I were walking through the long hallway to get to the stage.
"Spill. Now." Joe demanded.
"Yeah, tell me whats happening. Cause I missed the last episode of 'Nick tries to get the Girl' and Im DYING to know if he did!" Kevin said, an evil smile on his face.
I sighed. How much should I tell them? Well, they were my brothers, and I trusted them with my life, no matter how idiotic or annoying (*cough* Joe *cough*) they could be. So I recounted everything that Mel had told me. After I was done, Kevin and Joe stared at me with wide eyes.
"Um, wow," Joe said.
"Nick, you know what this means?" Kevin asked.
I was confused. "What?"
"That if you are going to be with her, you can not hurt her at all. Look at how much shes been through already." Of course, Kevin just had to dump the big brother thing on me.
"Yeah. Totally." Joe offered his brilliant insight. He just had to share his deep thoughts.
"Listen, guys, I understand all this. Just, let me do my thing."
Joe snorted as Kevin and I grabbed our guitars. "Oh, so now he has a thing."
Kevin smiled. "I really need to start watching this show more often. Who knew 'Nick tries to get the Girl' would be so drama-ish?"
Those two better hope to God they dont walk too close to the stage edge. Cause I was about to push them off.

haha I liked this chapter.
So I didn't put any music on this chapter, just cause I didn't feel like it. And I'm not in the mood to deal with the "YouTube" team.
RQ#10: Since Kevin and Joe are being muy annoying in my story, who would you guys say is the most annoying person you know? I'm going to say this guy Brendan at my school. He is what you consider the "joke-killer". And I mean EVERY SINGLE joke.
