  • Ah come on is this ...

Ah come on is this amateur hour? Last week I built a Thermonuclear submarine with weather manipulation capability. It is able to navigate the Mariana Trench (11 km depth), at 823 knots. I built it out of 10 meters of tinfoil, two tubes of tooth paste, a maxi pad, 4 smoke alarms, a foot of braided pubic hair,my aunt Ethel's denture grip, a 20 MB MFM hard drive, 2 cast iron tubs, 3 feet of fiber optic cable, 3 weeks old spaghetti, and a fat booger. It took me 4 hours to make.

  • You don't think you ...

You don't think you got Lucky?
Buying stuff from ebay (used) is like going to the junkyard for car parts, it is not likely that the first thing you buy will work.
One thing I thought of later though (which may have been what you did), is that you can buy a high def lcd screen and make this project worthwhile.
The "entry level" projectors I described are 800*600.

naw dude ..this is a great project...went on ebay got me a used lcd for $40.00 and a used overhead projector 4000 lum for 50.00 ....followed the video with the installation ...tested it out ....i was impressed with the ...pic quality with it is way better than my $990.00 video projector ...i got last christmas...... so do the math 990.00- 90.00 ..... = 900.00 for those of you who are planning on buying those expensive projectors ....think again ....

  • The point is not ...

The point is not buying NEW parts, rather using an old overhead projector and an LCD panel with a burnt out backlight (which are common on ebay). Thus a projector is possible for under $100.
