Text in Latin: Tenebrae factae sunt, dum crucifixissent Jesum Judaei: et circa horam nonam exclamavit Jesus voce magna: Deus meus, ut quid me dereliquisti? Exclamans Jesus voce magna, ait: Pater, in manus tuas commendo spiritum meum. Et inclinato capite emisit spiritum. Translation: There was darkness, when Jesus had been crucified. And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice: "My God, why have you forsaken me?" Jesus, crying out again with a loud voice, said: "Father, into your hands, I commend my spirit." And inclining his head, he gave up his spirit. This piece is part of a concert of ours that takes choral works from a variety composers; from A to Z. Bach, Mozart, Handel and the more famous composers are not featured here, rather we performed music that isn't as commonly heard, but all the more beautiful.
