One of my favorite scenes in ALL of Star Trek, believe it or not. In this one clip, you can see one of the things that was so dang frustrating about this show. The writers clearly wanted to show that The Doctor had romantic intentions with Seven, and it's played brilliantly by Robert Picardo. Notice how he just stops for a moment and watches her sing.. it's as if that's the precise moment he realizes that he's falling in love with her.

But what happens? The idea is dropped and basically never heard from again. By the time of the final episode, Seven is dead (in an alternate timeline), and The Doctor couldn't care less. Chakotay though is the one that's broken up about it. WTF?! When did those two ever even look at each other?

Great actors, great writing (sometimes) but absolutely no vision for the characters and no story arcs to speak of. You think that would be pretty important for a show about a ship lost in space, huh?

    most songs (albeit performed by the artistes themselves) are pre-recorded. They are definitely lip syncing. The lack of background noises is pretty much evidence. lol

    at least they made an effort to coordinate the lip movements more or less...

    even if it was lip syncing, it was really them singing. besides, almost everyone lip syncs when filming a show or movie. It's for better sound quality and acting.
