That will be why I own a Citroen. I love French design flair but want to be able to change a light bulb. :)

Actually that is something that appears logical, but maybe just turning the wheel doesn´t give you enough space to get your arm in there and manipulate whatever the hell one has to remove to access that damn bulb. Don´t think that this experienced mechanic is going to make an ass of himself on TV not thinking of that before. So if he removed that wheel, maybe he really needs to do that. I´ve tried accesing things under wheel arches, turning wheels sometimes just doesn´t make it.

This is one of the most astonishing things I have learned...the owner´s manual actually says "take it to de dealership"!!!! I loved the looks of this car, but this is ridiculous, maybe changing the wipers requires an engineer, what the hell?

Sad thing is that this is absolutely truth, the vw´s are easy to service and the megane II and specially the scenic is a total nigthmare to service, to change the air filter u must remove 5 different covers for example, and bulbs are a real pain in the ass. I have worked on a fast service workshop and meganes were the worst cars to work on.
Truth said u wont need 45 minutes but it is very hard if you do it once in a while,
It is very hard even for people doing it daily!

What about changing the bulb on the other side?

Just done this exact same job, whip the battery off, gives access from the top 10 mins later job sorted!

Idiots... All you need to do is turn the wheels to either side so you have better access to the cap. If you have a brain it takes you around 3 minutes.
