Clark (Tom Welling) desperately searches for Kara (Laura Vandervoort) and Brainiac (guest star James Marsters) is the only one who can reverse Lana's (Kristin Kreuk) condition.

Clark asks Chloe (Allison Mack) to check any large power surges in the area, so she breaks into several government computers, setting off alarms. Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) is caught between the Department of Security ─ who threatens him with jail time unless he helps them arrest Chloe ─ and Lex (Michael Rosenbaum), who offers to help clear Chloe if Jimmy agrees to be in his debt.

Erica Durance and John Glover also star.

Whitney Ransick directed the episode written by Caroline Dries.

  • you have made the ...

you have made the same mistake a lot of people make- i used to myself. you are thinking that smallville is in the same timeline as the movies or comics. but it isnt, it is a complete reimagining of the saga- it doesnt have anything to do with the movies or comics. smallville is a what if? story- showing us a new version of the superman story.

Lois is in Smallville destroying the original Superman timeline, so what's your point here?

  • two good reasons ...

two good reasons why Lois was not in smallville. #1 if she had no introduction by Perry White would have been necessary when Clark arrived at the Daily Planet. #2; if Lois really save Martha Kent after the meteor shower at the end of season four, then Clark would not have had to tell her the color of Clark's mom's hair. Also in S-III Lana gives Clark her sympathy over the death of his mom.

  • Lois Lane isn't ...

Lois Lane isn't supposed to be in smallville talking to an easily recognisable Superman without his glasses. How are we supposed to believe now that Lois won't recognise Clark as Superman when he wears the suit? The timeline was fucked up a long long time ago - they can't do anymore damage here. Also, Lois is written as a total slapper who sleeps around, like most of the other characters, including Clark himself.

  • Yeah I agree, this ...

Yeah I agree, this totally changes the Movies timeline as Lex wasn't suppose to be there till the movies. Seems like you can trash all the Christopher Reeves movies and the new Brandon Routh flick from this Superman/Smallville Timeline. Hate it when the writers think they can re-write history. LOL

  • "John Glover" also ...

"John Glover" also stars? Gee, I hope so. But aren't there still a couple more episodes left before Lex goes traipsing off to the Fortress o' Solitude a la the Superman movies?
