i've read that issue of guitar world too.

Jimi quoted "I dont think I'll live to be 28 years old. I mean, at the moment I feel I have nothing more to give musically. I will not be around on this planet anymore, unless I have a wife and children- Otherwise I have nothing to live for." And he died a couple months before his 28th birthday. Kinda eery... But the man was still so amazing. You can't take anything away from that.

Jimi mentioned here in Germany that he was already dead. the festival was ruinded by bad management and moreover ;hendrix died 12 days after these pictures

No one will ever know the truth, unless there is a murderer out their.. 24hrs is sick and not what I wanted to see..some horrible theorys. Every thing seems dodgy though, with jeffery dead(he was always scared of flyin) & M.D dead. lets just consine it to history, like this film.. I assent to (say yes to) BeenBad4U .... I don't know what to add else ... your thoughts are like mine ... the definitely it's not a suicide (you know, accidental or killed by)....
the only thing is Monika, I thought she was Danish .... but German could be good as well ... I know for sure she isn't Swiss (or Swedish).

Also from this article in the "Eastern Daily Press" UK, 4/6/96, it states: "from in a separate box entitled FACT FILE among other snippets it says: "It was in German-born Monika Danneman's flat that Jimi Hendrix choked on vomit and died, aged 27 and already a rock legend. The article was accompanied by a color picture of Monika leaving the High Court last week and a b/w of her in 1970 as she was driven away from Jimi's inquest and another b/w of Jimi in full swing..."

He also said Ms Danneman "is not a person to do something to herself." He added: "She didn't believe
in the concept of suicide. She believed in life after death and she considered suicide a sin."

He said in the Press: "She was just about the most pure and innocent person I've ever met, but I feel that the Press and media completely crucified her and she wasn't in a position to defend herself. It's absolutely tragic, because she was a totally genuine
person. I always felt that she was really being crucified in front of everybody, and there was nothing anyone could do about it."

The correlation between Monika's death & her being found in 'Contempt Of Court' in the 26-yr-old Libel Suit w/Kathy Etchingham CANNOT be overlooked. But, Scorpions Guitarist Uli Roth was 'at her side' back then & defended her in the press posthumously.

Unfortunately, Jimi was surrounded by 'dark' individuals - after all, he WAS the highest-paid musician in the world - he was a 'magnet.' Mike Jeffries was believed to have Mafia ties. This 'makes sense' when you consider that Jimi built Electric Ladyland in the heart of 'Mafia Village' - Greenvich Villiage, 8th & McDougal, NYC - The LAST Thing they wanted was 'MORE ATTENTION' - from the highest-paid & most-prolific musician of the 20th Century 'moving into their neighborhood...'

I have NOT seen 'The Last 24 Hours' but I am told that it IS purely fictional w/NO proof. Did Jimi's life end that way? There IS a chance it did. Mike Jeffries was a VERY, VERY Greedy 'Cut-Throat' promoter, and he is now believed to have 'set-up' Jimi's kidnapping. He was well-known for 'getting Jimi's money' out of the country IMMEDIATELY & 'ripping-Jimi-off,' and he died in a plane crash in '73...

I have NEVER, in my 30+ yrs of being 'into Jimi' believed that he committed suicide. His late music just weeks/days before he died was STILL AWESOME - he was Extraordinary! The pix that Monika took of him that fateful morning in her back yard, w/his Strat, actually picking fruit off of her fruit trees, showed a man Full Of Life, a bit tired perhaps, but NOT someone wanting to die. His death was either "accidental" or somebody killed him (and we'll never know who), but it was NOT suicide...

Even in my 'open-mindedness' & 'trying to be fair' w/Monika...I truly never understood NOR accepted why she would just wait for HOURS ON END - Watching Jimi die - and NOT call for help immediately? I guess that @ his point I'll surmise that not only was she just a kid, but God-Awfully-Stupid, if not dealing w/mental issues as well...
