  • Other planes, tanks ...

    Other planes, tanks, helos may have the same armorment, be faster, turn tighter, go further or whatever but the bottom line is the U.S. equipment can out target, both in accuracy and range most of it opponents. Look at the "longbow" example here. The goofy/ugly thing atop the rotors allows it to see for miles as the pilot hovers protected behind a hill. It then targets and the helo just leans back and fires without exposing itself. Thats tough to beat, about like outrunning the cops...radio.

    1 man crew = bad ...1 man uses nose gun and occupies radar while the other flys and controls ordnance... means less for each man to do witch alows the pilot to fly and keep them alive with out worrying about the radar and front nose gun. meaning the single pilot one cant react as fast as the apache pilot could

    one of only two attack helicopters in the world designed to shoot down other attack helicopters would have it all over the KA-50, however the KA-50 (god bless the Russians) can fly in high, hot dust conditions without to much of a performance downgrade. Unlike the Tiger and the Apache, That brings me to my question, Why would Australia buy the European made Tiger? I know for a fact they are having problems with it already in the heat. Bloody politicians making defence purchases again ha?
