This is an awesome vocal, musical, and lyrical performance of "Not Ready To Make Nice" by the Dixie Chicks.

  • just watch the documentary

the documentary "Shut up and Sing" is VERY informative and follows the band on tour and documents the events surrounding the comments and how terrifying it would be to lose your corporate sponsor just because you make a comment on the road, to entertain your audience or whatever, and how big a deal was made just from an off-the-cuff remark, and how people were so scared to support the band because they did not want to be seen as "radical". anyway, the documentary is so much fun to watch and made me a bigger fan than ever. I love Natalie even more now that I know more about the band. I will be a fan forever!

  • these little putas ...

these little putas are standing up there screamin' their crap BECAUSE THEIR FREEDOM is being paid for by our boys getting blown up in dusty far-off places , and many others before them died in previous conflicts. My grandmother used to say back in the 70's that she'd like to see people like this (the ungrateful ones) go do the sacrifice instead of the good ones. She was right.

  • Bush if a F**ker so ...

Bush if a F**ker so she told the truth. Since when do you Americans think you have the authority to tell other people how to run their lives. Ignorance is the common complaint about Americans and you need to focus on problems in your own country (kids with guns, your economy, the poverty level) and stop sticking your nose into everyone else's problems. Put that in your crack pipe (another USA problem)and smoke it Vagisil17!!!!!

  • Boycotts are an ...

Boycotts are an expression of "Free speech" as Miss Maines used, so what's wrong with that? People are free to have their CD's smashed in public. That's freedom, too. Natalie is dying to be a friend of Hollywood liberals and she got it. And she went on to take back her apology and said more diabolical things. She deserves her canceled tour and low ticket sales. Country music stations have dumped them and they deserved every bit of it. The other 2 chicks can S**k it, too.

  • She also took back ...

She also took back her apology and called Bush a fu--er. That's low-class and a true testament to her real character...or lack thereof. jAs a mother, she should have been concerned about the innocent people Saddam murdered. Instead she blamed the president and our troops of doing the same thing. She needs to grow up and be a better example to her children she continues to bore.

Thanks, It's really how I feel. Everytime I see his face it just disgusts me. It blows me away how many hypocrates we have in our own country. Anyway. your very kind to say that. Your comments are quite impressive as well.

Its a shame that not more singers are like them. They just sing. I think that we shouldn't be in this war.

  • Natalie IS A HERO ! ...

Natalie IS A HERO !, she was a target on stage after death threats and easily could have been picked off. Reminds me of John Lennon, who also saw the backlash and album bonfires of Beatles record for saying they were simply more popular (NOT BETTER) than Jesus. He turned out to be #1 on FBI's most watched list for about 5 years for promoting love and peace, very scary things you know. In the Chicks "scandal" When O'Reilly, Limbaugh, etc. slammed them, their ditto heads fell in line like Nazi's.

    Scramasboy: Impressive comment !
Most people twice your age don't have the capacity to see outside the tiny sardine can of rhetorical faux-"patriotic" haze they get high on.

  • DVK - First, they ...

DVK - First, they didn't cancel their tour in 2006. Second, you are certainly free to not buy Dixie Chicks' albums, and you are certainly free to post rude things on YouTube in response to their videos. This song, however, is in reaction to death threats (illegal), radio DJs inciting violence (illegal), vandalism (illegal), and corporate radio boycotts (un-American). Also, Natalie was a country singer from Texas - Hollywood liberal elite? Give me a break.

  • No offense to you, ...

No offense to you, but I prefer my celebrities to be real and honest. I don't like fake, plastic celebrities who walk around and say "I love everyone" and "I'm perfect." Natalie and the other Chicks are the first to admit that they aren't perfect; they're just real and they're wives, mothers and citizens. Umm...and actually, Natalie did apologize (as she didn't mean to hurt anyone), but, you know, facts...
