no, the costumes in this movie are totally off from the way they were actually dressed in those days.

can somebody please explain to me y duryodhan has a scorpio tatooed on his arm?? and y is that so called mama shakuni laughing like a hyena?? and for havens sake wats wrong with draupadi?? this is our heritage and this mahabharat?? its disgrace i have grown up watching the BR Chopra mahabharat and i must say this was a pathetic attempt... looks more like a roman arena to me then a dyuth krida bhavan..

your totally right, though i would rather see the show just cancelled and tossed into a whole pile of other MINDLESS rusbish ekta kapoor has made and set alight. theres no acting skill here just alot of people shouting and showing their bodies.

Regarding DaMoTaiShi's Comment, i just like to say that, those costumes used in old mahabharat serial, matches with the actual costumes of the era in which the real mahabharat is suppose to occur. If u do ur research on the indian history, u will find that mahabharat era was close to the end of Iron age and it is considered by many archeological diggings in India that, those type of clothing were commonly used by princes and kings.

and it seems, ekta kapoor watchd 'the troy' and 'old mahabharat' together and mixed it up... her ideas of making serials... S**ks .. she doesnt have a bit of reality in her serials.... and since she started.... with new mahabharat,, hope she ends it well. loluck
