    yes that i the way to play it, but most ppl palm mute it. if you want the full distortion, you can go ahead and don't palm mute it but it sounds fine both ways. if you palm mute it on an LP Custom, it sounds like your not palm muting it. thats what makes it so hard because Ozzy used an LP Custom whilist making the song. hope that clears all that out for ya future posters! rock on expert village!
