How to Download Videos off of Youtube!

Well...
1) Go to the video page so the video is actually playing
**WARNING**
Use internet explorer... not firefox
if you use firefox it will save the file as a unknown file format
2) replace 'youtube' with 'voobys'
3) click the download video button
4) save the file as the video name + **IMPORTANT** the filetype...
some file types dont work so for a surefire way to get the video, save it as an .flv and use a converter.
5) play the movie! ^^

I USED FLV PLAYER TO PLAY THE FLV FILE

    this vid is actually outdated... you can get the realplayer extension for firefox/IE and download vids off any site in any format.

    only if they support the flv format downloaded from the site
    if not then you can put them through a converter to convert to the mp4 or mpeg files that most players play. unfortunately im unable to find any converters that are free and will convert whole files...

    short answer: no unless you change the file type
