Wrong again, the US and UK were not there to defend France, thet was not why we went to war with Germany. Defeating Germany and defending France were two very different things. The French defended France, no one else.

As to whether the Brits or the US could have beaten the German army by theselvs is a bit of a mystery.

Neither the US nor the UK share a border with Germany. Such a conquest would require transporting armies over the ocean. A very risky venture with the German U boats

Unless the Brits were going to invade Germany I don't see what the German navy had anything to do with it.

The war as you point out was won in the trenches of France. In those trenches stood about 5 million brits and 3 million Americans.

You seem to think that the French could have won without them.

WRONG!! The loosing power WAS Germany! Hell, her navy was in full mutiny at the time and the country was on the verge of large scale starvation because of the blockade. You cannot prove that the US saved anybody (because lo and behold, we didn't! We came in at the last second because it was the fashionable thing to do.)

The UK and French army have already lost millions of men and have yet to invade Germany.
