Puerto Rico: A Nation, is a tribute to the Puerto Rican struggle for independence highlighting some of the events and people that mark the movement. I used music by Fiel a la Vega, a Puerto Rican rock band to set the mood for the images. This was done entirely using Windows Media Player with images found by using Google image search. I hope you will all enjoy this little video and I think its a good exercise for those who are not familiar with Puerto Rico or its history to try and figure out who and what is depicted in the images. Also check out latinoinsurgent.blogspot.com where I write about Puerto Rico, Latin America, and Latinos living in the United States. Thank you all for supporting my work, and I appreciate any and feedback you can provide.

You have the right to dream. But only 4% of the people of Puerto Rico have voted for independence. Meanwhile 47% have voted for statehood and 48% for the actual status wich supports the union with the US. So the question it is not, what would you be?, it is, what we are?... and the answer is.. we are proudly citizens of the United State of America.

Those countries dont have the Techology , or the Hospitals or the Market we have .WE are Bilingual and have good universities. And if we are independet our comerce will grow we could do comerce with other countries as well , our relation with USA will be a better one because we will not depend so much from them and second because our people will stop depending on welfare and actually start working for real. If you had the chance to graduate from college, and be something more , what would you be?

in regards to the issue here, if you breakdown my original comments,i make a comparison,of independent countries in the same part of the world, with approx the same population, you will see how hard, its to be indepentent, base that these facts on reality not dreams, hek we all dream of a independent P.R....but you must look at reality, small island with a tropical climate, and corrupt town mayors,or governors
The work i did at Boeing it was just a job, not a commitment to the USA, just like another job at Germany for Daimler Chrysler its a job , not a commitment when the job its done you move to the next job that comes your way. And be a man and dont bring my family into this argument , i have not mentioned anything about your family i respect that. Dont do that , or i will do the same thing. falta de respeto.
