This is a common practice in modern times, I refer to the lip syncing of prerecorded music...awful, I expect it from the teenie pop whores but stars like these succumbing to this lowliest form of entertainment. Sad indeed.

Several parts of the show are pre-recorded. Verse 1 and 2 of POTO are due to Phantom and Christine climbing a ladder to get onto the travelator. The high 'E' at the end of POTO is also pre-recorded. Why So Silent is pre-recorded as the phantom is wearing the red death mask. A forklift has to hoist him onto the top of the stairs in the masquerade scene and both mask and contact lenses render him almost blind. Dave Willets fell and broke his leg during Wandering Child in the 90s uk tour.

I know, thats what i thought! It said that he tripped on the cape on like the 2nd step, and fell all the way down and landed on his butt! ;-)

well i know that several parts of the show are prerecorded. Maybe that is one of the times?

oh and

but they were talking about the part when the phantom comes out during masquerade and walks down the stairs. they said that he fell once, but his voice kept going like nothign happened

thats because when whoever is playing christine does those bloddy high notes, they are pre-recorded so that the actress doesnt throw out her voice

That was quite literally one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen.
