People still don't understand if we don;t keep the population of moose under control by hunting then the animals are only going to starve to death soo its alot easier to have the meat put to good use instead of letting all the moose die of starvation. smarten up for F**k sakes it gets me so angry to hear people say stopp killing these poor animals pleaseee ... its F**king rediculous

we were all hunters at one point the moose population is huge and Alaska is so big they can starve to death lol

If you think that hunters should stop killing then you need to write the Alaska Game officials. We hunt in managed areas. That means the herds are kept to a standard that keeps them from over populating and starving to death. Since the native Alaskans hunt for food and have never left their home lands, what would you have them eat?

If you kill it you cant observe it anymore. Some people become sad because animals are killed for sport. I dont eat meat anymore, but Ive tasted moose-meat and it was pretty good. But I believe wed be better off eating banana's. Although they dont grow in Alaska, Im sure you can find an alternative. Stop the killing please.

i understand the transportation but taking the shot from a boat is what gets me

Boats are almost always used to move to a hunting area. In this case, we were moving to a new locations when the opportunity presented itself. The re-enactment shown here is as close to what happened as we could easily stage. Hunting in the brush is the prime process.

Our advantage in the boat is being able to move to other areas to hunt.
