most of mothers to be haven't realize the danger of shaking baby, true, I was one of them before married with luck I hadn't shaked my sweets actually keeping my eye on them even a small reaction, so I think education is the key to teach them, mother to be and also father to be.

This happened to my son when he was just an infant. His father had a abusive childhood and inflicted this on his boy. He never laid a hand on him when I was there so I never knew what was going on. I left the bastard after 12 months and found out about 6 years later that his father did this and damaged the nerves behind his eye and had given him a trauma cataract. He will eventually go blind. I have never forgiven myself for not being able to see what was going on. My boy has so much anger.

To me its senseless. How can someone inflict such pain and hurt on someone so small that they can't defend themselves? I'll spend the rest of my days trying to make sure kids get the best start in life...and then all I can hope for is that they have the condidence and self-belief that that they really are worth it and that they can accomplish their dreams.

I was abused as a child. When i was 6, i was almost beaten to death. Its like Hell when your abused (Child abuse). Luckily, my momma came home. I still thank God and Jesus to this day for saving my life from being a dead, abused child.

I was so afraid to have kids because I was abused as a child, I didn't want to repeat the cycle, but now that I have my baby, I can't understand how anyone could hurt such an innocent life.
