This clip highlights the song sang by Nikki Webster called "Under Southern Skies." As she sang the song, the performers are leading themselves to create the stars in the skies on the floor, like the way the Australian national flag looks like. That will lead to the final segment of the entire "dream sequence" of the Sydney 2000 opening ceremony. The music was created by Damien Halloran; the lyrics was created by Maria Millward.

Lyrics:
There's a peace in our hearts and a hope in our hands,
We're the family of children; we come from many different lands.
Our time is just beginning; our race is yet to run,
But if you will take us with you, then we have already won.

CHORUS:
Under the southern skies,
Together in this land,
Every voice in celebration,
A family hand in hand!
Under the southern skies,
As one we rise,
And turn our eyes to see
All the wonder of the future
In a world of harmony.

There's a great spirit rising from the desert to the sea.
As it sweeps across this southern land it calls to you and me:
We're the dreamers and the dreaming; we're the face of things yet to come.
Every child can be a hero if our world can live as one.

Repeat CHORUS X 2.

I'm glad you were here to answer that, considering it is INCREDIBLY obvious that they wouldn't get a whole league of Sign Language people for a few deaf people in the audience.

Sign language looks really cool when it's done by lots of people in unison like that. Mind you, i find sign language fascinating anyway. It's incredible that two people can have a full on convo with saying a word.
