I love this song, and when I was little too, Mary Chapin Carpenter is pretty much all I'd listen to then! ^^ This song made me sad, though; I had two older sisters and I think a part of me was sad for a long time when I remembered the song talking about about the sibling moving away or going to college. Not depressed sad, you know, but just wishing stuff wouldn't change and all. Thanks for showing us this video. Someday maybe I'll go to a concert of hers, I think I'd know most of the songs.

It's also one of my favourites and I'm 58, perhaps that shows how great she is...

I remember her singing this in concert. Everyone was still and quiet. Quite eerie and yet powerful.

I saw an interview about this song and her guitar player (when talking about this song) said, "No one can distill loneliness like Mary Chapin"

I love the chord voicing at 0:47 (comparing this to the studio track). Damn, that is beautiful. This guy could play "Smoke On The Water" and have you sobbing.

One masterpiece like this, and most folks would call it a career. But not her.

She puts every modern day country artist i've heard to shame. Heartfelt without being sappy. And she picks great pianists! time*sex*love is one of my all time favorite albums (and i'm only 20).

She has such a warm voice that hugs you as you listen and makes you feel safe. I love listening to her.
