U know i bet the indian airforce is gonna buy the Su- simply because of its range, and interceptor/escort capabilities.

But it think they may purchase a few F-18s as well for electronic warfare stuff.

AND I bet that IF India accepts Russia's deal, your gonna see a LOT of joint Russian and indian Naval exercises. I mean i'm just sayin, if you see the Kuznetsov down in the Indian Ocean, don't be surprised.

Indian Pilots are the best in the world...

this plane is easily the best multi-role, heavy class, long-range mission specialized, air-superiority fighter in the world (after f-22 raptor of course). even in the air force excercises with the raf's typhoon, this was proven. the british were very surprised at this plane's performance themselves. if india can get the israeli elta aesa radars or the russian ones within the next 2-4 years, my god will this plane be a force to reckon with

that is true...i think it was the uss enterprsie tht was sent to the bay of bengal...which was met with the ins viraat but there were many russian subs aroud the vicinity and so the uss enterprise changed course to avoid confrontation.

Bharatiya vayu sehna.The name says it all.The mighty eagles of Ashoka can be proud to show the world that we are a force of air supremecy dominance with a bite to match with formidable technology that we have the full accomodation to build on our own soil.I would love to see in the future how these SU30's will be against the paki F16's.Judging by how they are struggling to keep their precious commodity air worthy,air to air combat in this case would be very one sided in India's favour!
