Yes!! your right they do belong in the wild!! But these animals are endangered and they need help, otherwise if they are left on their own they will die! Breeding them keeps them from going extinct duh!

Actually thats not the case its not the shade of mane its the size. Duh Lioness's judge their mates on the size of the mane. Which shows their strength.

It is not really a good thing. It`s a tweaked gene that makes them take more sun damage and weaker hunters. He`s right, they do have to be in captivity.

No, it's just a rare occurrence. Kinda like albinism but even more rare.

I hope this isn't the same as white tigers... the only way to produce a white tiger is through sever inbreeding in captivity...

See you keep saying zoos. Programs other than zoos that keep them in captivity have MILES of protected land that the animals can freely live in... to them that's free enough.. they don't have to hunt for thier food.. they love the attention from the humans that care for them... theres a video on here about a lion and two men that took care of him.. watch:) obviously that lion loved how they cared for him. Animals know when they are being treated good.. and bad.

You don't even seem like you know anything about the captivity issues.. :s I don't have a problem with it at the moment(I don't like zoos... there are programs OTHER then 'zoos') because that's the only thing we have right now that is protecting ENDANGERED species... untill programs like WWF are able to protect more wild land.. they can't be sent out in the wild or they will just be killed. Of course they will rot in the places that don't take care of them.. but not all places do that..
