A little section of the animated series Saban's Adventures of Oliver Twist based very loosely on Charles Dickens classic with anthropomorphic beings with humans. In the series it turns out that Oliver is not really an orphan. He has a mother but has been separated from her and later sent to the workhouse. In an interesting take, unlike his literary counterpart, the character Fagin (as a fox) is portrayed as a good guy and not a thief teaching younger thieves, or so it seems. Artful Dodger is just a cunning kid and not a pickpocket. Mona Marshall provides the voice of Oliver. Televised the same time American Tail Fievel Goes West was released in the early 1990s. This series is not yet on DVD so hopefully this will spark interest in a DVD release.
