HBO's "copyright claim" to block this meaningful moment of American history is exactly what's wrong and sick about America right now. If they could make money by doing so, the bas#*rds would copyright and withhold the very thing that might save this country. They've sold their souls to the god of profit.

and another thing. Beyonce impressed me at the end of that song. I didn't know she can hit a note that high. I loved how she asked everyone to join in and sing it with her.

The reason they choose Beyonce to sing this is because when everyone else sings it with her. They all blend in. If they would have chosen Jennifer Hudson, we would only hear Hudson and noone else. American the beautuful should be heard by everyone singing it so Beyonce was the very best choice. You may not agree with me but it is the truth.

I have to strongly disagree. I think beyonce did an outstanding job with this and she actually sung with her heart instead of her head. I give credit where credit is due and i can honestly say bey through down.

Why was Beyonce chosen to sing this? Why not Mariah, Whitney, Aretha, or even Christina Aguilera?!?!

In this performance Beyonce cannot hide how shaky her voice is. She absolutely has no vocal control. She's also very tentative here.

Beyonce is a great songwriter, producer, and dancer.

Wow beyonce really did an amazing job with this song. She gave me goosebumps. She is really growing into her voice and herself as an artist.
