    I agree totally... I started on clarinet when I was younger. I switched to tenor and I had the tight embouchure, which made it difficult to produce a sound.

    I strongly disagree with your teacher, if you wanna learn sax hop right on one, learning something before will just make the adjustment more confusing, flute fingerings are about 80% the same as sax and clarinet embouchure is about 80% the same as sax, but clarinet fingerings and flute embouchure are waaay different than sax... The best instrument to learn if you wanna play sax is sax
