I was the film and my friend and I know french (My french speak french very well) and we support the defense to Marion. She denies the victims or the real facts. her only sin is she's curious and sceptic (Well I'll burn in hell).

Any interviewer with half a brain could've shown her the stupidity of her remarks. How would it be cheaper for the US to blow up the buildings with people in them? I love this movie. I think she did an amazing job. I also didn't know that Edith Piaf has such a crazy life. But again she did an amazing job and deserved that oscar(unlike most of the people there)
