Car Engine Mack MP7 Diesel Assemblage

I'm tired of watching animated videos of new hi-tech super-diesel engines that MAY someday be available. Will someone please post clips of some REAL diesel automobile engines that are in production now and I could order in my next car.

2 or 4 fuel filters (normaly only 2)
1 Oil filter

and the one pointing in the air would be a Hydrolic oil filter, i'm guessing.

Although most filter weather it be fuel, oil or hydrolic oil filters are normaly gravity fed, and i've never seen one pointint in the air like that.

Volvo and Mercedes both claim it makes for a stronger gear train. I think it's just easier and cheaper for them to make just the one case for both Europe and the U.S.

Volvo moved the gear train to the back because cab-overs are more common in Europe. It is far easier to get to the gears on a cab-over's engine if it isn't all the way up under the cab.
When Mercedes bought Detroit, they took the engine and moved the gear train to the back and call it a Mercedes motor, wonderful motor, now made for Europe.

Honestly, how many belt driven compressors have you seen lately? Most every compressor today is gear driven. Hell the Bendix tuflo 500 on my 1950's Mack 673 is gear driven.
