Foster Parrots

that's great. i have 3 birds too. i adopted them all. i have an african grey, a conure, and a meyer's parrot. i love them all so much and i work from home so they get lots of attention. :)

I love birds and seen this video it make me sick just watching all the bird in a small cage, I own a Macaw and an Indian ringneck and a beautifull Canary, I don't work I am a 24 hrs. Mom to a 3 beautifull chindrens and a caregiver to my 3 beautifull bird (tweedy) my canary, (saeed) my macaw and to (shirin) sweety my little girl the indian ringneck.

i don't believe people should purchase parrots at all. most people don't underststand how intelligent and emotional they are and they live very sad lives. if people are serious about wanting a parrot, they should adopt from a legitimate organization. there are so many parrots that need homes. it's so sad. thank you for taking such good care of your feathered friends. we need more people like you.

i have two Senegal parrots and they are the breath in my lung, my very best friends. to see such terrible thing happening to such innocent animals is awful. these animals aren't unlike 3 or 4 year old humans as far as there emotions and comprehension are concerned so please only purchase captive bread parrots.the abuse and neglect they suffer from capture and shipping emotionally cripples them.

This video makes me cry people should be ashamed of them selves!!!I have 4 quaker parrots and I just adore them what a shame how can people cram them together like that I never cage my quakers up they are very well behaved and spoiled.I hope this becomes illegal

I AGREE! I just spent the last hr grinding my teeth bc Jasper & Charlie wouldn't shut up, but that's what they do! I don't regret my decision for allowing them flight- they're BIRDS & it IS a HUMAN convenience to clip their wings. It saddens me, but knowing there are ppl like u out there definitely helps.

Ownership of any animal especially these beautiful and intelligent creatures should never be made too easy. I have 2 birds. Yes they annoy the hell out of me sometimes and I can feel guilty because I'm busy and not spending enough time with them. But they are part of our family and as far as we're concerned, they're for life. I could clip their wings and make my life easier but when I see how much they enjoy flying I know I couldn't do it.

I do have a parrot as a pet but I totally agree with you. I think they should ban the sale of birds unless they need help. They should not allow birds to be bread as pets. So many (way too many) are tossed from home to home when people realize how much attention birds need. My bird is my bird for life. If you know of adoption needed I would help. I feel more for animals than the human race. Keep spreading your message.

i understand what you're saying- i really do. for foster parrots i know it's because they just really want to make sure that you are not going to sell it or bring it back after a few months or years. also, i know if you talk with them and get to know them and they see you care, it makes a difference.

excuse my English, but I wrote before, are many people who wants to adopt, but you request too much, any way thanks for your labor.

I took a look to foster parrots w. site and i found a litle discourage the adoption process, I live in atlantic city, i have a house, I work in a casino, and i own a sun conure for about 4 years, (she is free in home and very happy ) but for people like me, who have the best intention of take care of an abuse parrot now it is too much. should be more easy.

Beautiful video. Sad video. I breed quaker parrots & my birds only go to dedicated parrot lovers. They are hand reared and are looked after with love and kindness. They are not aloud to live in cages that are not big enough for them to fly well. Very sad to see that people abandom these beautiful creatures. My parrots are part of my family.

Yes, I know. It's too sad. And I know also of the Indonesian Parrot Project. It's a wonderful project. Thank you for what you do as well.

Animalcruelty!!!!!

first of all, i didn't buy them. they were adopted. once parrots are born in captivity, they can't be released into the wild so they have to be taken care of. they would die if they were released into the wild. and there is no such thing as the domestication of parrots. it would take hundreds of years and even then, there is no guarantee that they woudld become domesticated. they are ALL wild animals- even if born in captivity. it just means they can't SURVIVE in the wild.
