My friends recently stayed in Hatanaka... a quick summary of their comments :
- beautiful room (very big)
- staff are incredibly friendly and very competent in English
- price is very affordable considering the level of luxury

I will also add my own comment, having arranged their trip for them : booking is easy and English speaking staff definitely make it a pleasure.

The neighborhood where this hotel is located is the heart of Geisha in the whole world. Very unique, special experience.
