Patek Philippe's story
In 1839, Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek founded Patek, Czapek & C° in Geneva. At the 1844 Universal Exhibition in Paris, Antoine Norbert de Patek met Jean Adrien Philippe, inventor in 1842 of a pocket watch with stem winding and hand-setting, and offered him the post of technical director as soon as Czapek's contract ran out. In 1845, Patek Czapek & C° was dissolved, and Antoine Norbert de Patek, Jean Adrien Philippe and Vincent Gostowski founded, in Geneva, Patek & C°. In 1851, the three men changed the company's name to Patek Philippe & C°.

1887 The Calatrava Cross became the company's registered logo.

1902 The Gondolo Chronometer name was registered.

These included the first two most complicated pieces by Patek Philippe: one, made in 1916, with 16 complications and another, made in 1927, with 10 complications.

1915 Creation of the first ladies' wristwatch with five-minute repeater.

1925 Creation of the first ladies' wristwatch with perpetual calendar (inspired by a pendant watch).

1933 Henry Graves Jr. purchased what was then the most complicated watch ever made by Patek Philippe. It was sold again in 1999 for $11 million.

1936 Creation of an astronomical wristwatch with perpetual calendar and retrograde date.

  • And yet, Patek´s ...

And yet, Patek´s sees nothing wrong honouring those criminals with timepieces that should have been only conceived in honour of great man and woman from the past, like scientists, geneticists, surgeons, cancer researchers, and some other trully magnificient human beings. I am tired and sick of seeing criminals, rapists, sleazy playboys, sports guys, wearing those watches as awards for being absolutelly S**t human beings.

  • Don´t you know what ...

Don´t you know what Barrichello's did to be labeled a human scum? Well he, and most of F1 racers are sponsored by the gigantic cancer industry, the perverse tobacco industry, that condemned millions of human beings to a short life-long dependence to a strong drug (namely nicotine), that is a well known cancerigenous substance too(along with some others "extras" they blend in the cancer stick). Just by receiving this filthy money from tobacco industry is enough to make me hate him to death.

  • Patek´s brown nosed ...

Patek´s brown nosed collection of sports heros (what?) also reveals a deep misunderstanding of tradition and heritage. For example a Rubens Barrichello timepiece was handcrafted in honour of this playboy, rich mama´s son, absolutelly a human scum, and it seems nobody at Patek´s has a vision of what is wrong and what´s right. It is a shame so many beautiful time pieces are devoted and wored by the most perverse people around nowadays. What a shame!

  • As I have seen, ...

As I have seen, this kind of watch can only be afforded by multi bilionaires. Some Patek´s watches were auctioned recently in Brazil, they were sized by federal police from Juan Carlos Abadia, biggest Colombian drug dealer. Unfortunatelly it seems Patek´s heritage is destined to be wore also by the most repugnant human beings alive. Pateks´ affiliation with Bill Clinton Foudation is another sad broken tradition, well known rapist of women (at least 16 although misteriously not convicted). Sad.
